Plassendale

In the industrial estate Plassendale, "just behind the corner” of our establishment in Ostend, the weak subsoil had to be stabilised for the construction of a new industrial building.

Soetaert placed no less than 2,814 gravel cores using 2 deep foundation machines with a telescopic leader mast. The entry tubes are vibrated into the soil and, while being led upwards again, filled with recycled stone rubble. By repeating this process, the soil is substantially compacted and stabilised.
